one needs to reach karren area -10 minutes from dornbirn centre- and take the cable car (11 euros way and return) to get into this restaurant. the views are great.the service is acceptable, the prices are a bit high but understandable to enjoy the views of all bodensee and the rihn valley and its delta at the lake.the food was ok, good taste, but nothing original in the menu.there was a sufficient variety of starters... Nous y sommes allés avec des amis autrichiens qui connaissaient déjà l'endroit. On y est bien accueilli, les enfants sont choyés et on leur offre coloriages et crayons de couleurs pour les faire patienter. Les spätzle sont corrects mais n'ont rien d'exceptionnel. Allez-y pour le panorama vraiment superbe et pour l'ambiance conviviale (lieu de passage des randonneurs). View all feedback.
How about enjoying the view from Constanz Lake or the mountains while you have a beautiful traditional meal? This is the place!
The view is AMAZING! I took the tram up yesterday, but will be hiking up the path this weekend. The hot chocolate was soooo good. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and part of it hangs over a cliff on the mountain. The service was pretty slow, but the view was priceless!
The coffee tastes excellent, you have a nice view to switzerland, liechtenstein and germany (and of course austria-dornbirn). there are hiking paths all around the restaurant and you can relax after a long hiking tour but the most memorable thing about the restaurant is the teleferic.
This restaurant is located at the highest peak of Karren, Dornbirn where you can enjoy an amazing view while having your meal. You can see three countries at the same time Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany). The food is very average and the service is slow. The food portion is big for starter and soup. Don't think of ordering the Perch fish. It is tasteless. There is an outside seating area but since I went during winter time, this place was closed. However, you can enjoy the amazing view from the ceiling to earth windows surrounded you 360 degree view). I recommend this place for a piece of cake and a cup of tea. Again, the view is heart taken.
The place is wonderful, meal is perfect, but the service is terrible. We waited 2 hours to pay for our meal and then 30 minutes.
