Vina Lisjak 1956 - Dornberk

We had a very nice diner together last Thursday and we really, really enjoyed the food, the wines and the hospitality of Peter and his staff. The products served are local speciallities and Peter takes personally the time to explain the backgrounds of food and wines and the company history. Great feeling of entertainment hospitality, compliments!!

What an experience! We are staying at the Saksida camping, but our intuition said not to have the refined but expensive meal and wine tasting there, but go to the Vina Lisjak, a family run restaurant and vineyard. We made a reservation, and we are so glad we did. The owner and the waitresses made us feel very welcome. The food was superb. All home made, and that we tasted. The meat, the cheese, the bread, made in the farm. Mmmmmmm And of course the wine. We had a short tour in the wine cellar. In a very personal approach. The owner is a hard working man with great passion. And oh so friendly. We recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, honest meal, great wine and who respects the Slovenian entity, and likes a family atmosphere. Good luck, Peter! Had a great evening at the restaurant. Had a full four course dinner. Almost all products came from our own products or from the region. In addition, with all dishes a matching wine that came from their own vineyard. Also had a tour of the wine cellar and was explained by the very driven and enthusiastic owner. Very successful evening, highly recommended.

We did the wine tasting and the 4 course dinner, it was a very nice evening. Before the dessert Peter showed us their wine cellar and told us some thing about the history wine makery. The wines and food where very good and al made from fruit and vegetables out their own garden or local farmers. A really good place to is you want to have a taste of the local food and wine.
