Jetty - Doringbaai
Jetty
Description
Perched with stunning coastal views, this rustic spot excels at seafood, wine and oysters, with standout mussels and classic fish-and-chips. Many diners praise the setting and hospitality, though food quality and service can swing from excellent to rushed or slow—especially close to kitchen closing. Expect mid-range prices, ample free parking and a scenic drive to reach it. Worth a visit for the view and seafood, but come with patience and avoid risky dishes like abalone if you want a safe bet.

We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. We took the dirt road shortcut from Lambert's Bay, which was a bit bumpy, but that's to be expected. The food was excellent, and the service was great too. There was nothing to complain about, and it was definitely worth the drive. On our way back, we traveled the Klawer, Vredendal, Clanwilliam route. It’s a beautiful drive, lined with stunning wine farms. Truly spectacular! Service: Dine-in.
Arrived 20 Min before kitchen closing time. It Really creates an unwelcoming environment when you’re reminded repeatedly that the kitchen closes in 20 min. Decided to try a starter and move on Abalone was delicious, Pork rashers left a lot to be desired. The view is great, service poor. Not a great experience for an overnight dinner outing. Really disappointing. Perhaps just unlucky, but wouldn’t expect the tense atmosphere and unwelcoming atmosphere at a restaurant of this “calibre”.
