The Dovecote - Dorchester

Great concept, really beautiful gardens. Covid safe. Ordered an egg bap and it was delicious! Coffee tasted burnt but all in all, lovely stop off for breakfast.

Absolutely delicious cakes and coffee again. We had a fantastic cloud cake which we haven't eaten before and a tasty brownie with super friendly service.

Went during lockdown-easing. Free car park, lovely gardens, loads of seating and toilets. All the correct measures in place. Food and drink are as nice as always.

This charming little café features a lovely setting, complete with a walled garden, a stream, a pond, and a small playground for children. However, the food options were rather limited. My sandwich was just average, but the hot chocolate was delightful. Overall, it's the warm and welcoming atmosphere that truly makes this place enjoyable.

I visited at the end of January 2022 and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, and I appreciated being able to enjoy a much-needed cup of tea, especially since a pot means at least two cups! The restaurant offers plenty of space both indoors and in its spacious, beautiful garden, which I can't wait to see again in early spring when it will look even more stunning. We will definitely be back!
