We're new residents of Dorado, and when we asked around for the best dinner restaurant, the one name that came up again and again was Grappa. Now we know why. O... read more We're new residents of Dorado, and when we asked around for the best dinner restaurant, the one name that came up again and again was Grappa. Now we know why. Our dining experience there was exquisite, from the hand-crafted cocktails to the smart service to the appetizers and entrees. We were told it's a good idea to order from the daily specials, and so we did for the pineapple salad (fresh and tangy) and the fish of the day, mahi mahi with garlic white wine, capers and perfectly steamed vegetables. We started with a Caprese salad brimming with oodles of fresh mozzarella and fragrant pesto. And I had the braised duck over pasta from the main menu, with a portion so large I had to take home a container. It's an intimate, enclosed space, so the volume of the boisterous conversation was quite high, but it didn't bother us. Loved the appealing wall art, too. We'll be back soon!

This place was so incredible, we made reservations for the very next day during our dessert! The food is cooked with such flavor and such care! The ambience is indescribable, you feel at home the minute you walk in! The staff needs to teach classes on how to properly handle guests, they're that good. This will be a regular stop! Everything we had was beyond our expectations! They will duplicate this effort for you, I promise!
