The Hungry Bear Diner Pizza - Donnelly

I got a plain burger and salad, the meat and bun were awesome. My son got a chicken sandwich and tots and the tots were great with the fry sauce. Owner was kind and the place didn’t stink of cigarettes unlike other bar/restaurants that popped up on Google Maps

The burger was fantastic, and the fries were great too! The place is small and a bit off the beaten path, but it's truly a hidden gem!

Awesome breakfast and go to stop for good food and good people.

Passing through town right around lunchtime, we stopped at Stinker's for fuel. Noticing the Hungry Bear across the way, we decided to pick up food for the road. Upon entering, the place was very inviting, with plenty of social distanced seating arrangements. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making some great recommendations. I ordered the bacon burger with Tots, which was very tasty and oh, so juicy! My partner went with the clam chowder, an excellent choice as well. While waiting, I ordered and iced tea, and it was fantastic! Not weak or bitter at all; just the way I like it. Everything was boxed up to go in quick order. Paying our tab, we asked about a seasonal route through the mountains to Stanley the server didn't know, but asked a couple locals, who gave us perfect directions. This was the best part of our visit, because it gave us an incredibly beautiful drive through some amazing territory! We will definitely be stopping here again.

It’s a fantastic little spot with very friendly staff. Be sure to try the Pioneer Beef Dip!
