Food: Quite good, though not extraordinary. Appetizers: The scallops were superb, and the potato soup was outstanding. Main courses: The beef filet was exceptional—perfect in every aspect. On the other hand, the monkfish (catch of the day) was disappointing; it was overcooked, rubbery, and bland despite its freshness. Desserts: The white chocolate pistachio cake was a true delight—an edible masterpiece. Drinks: Speaking as a sommelier, their wine selection by the glass is impressive. The Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir stood out. Service: Satisfactory, but don’t expect fine dining levels. Ambience: We enjoyed a booth in the back, ideal for a romantic evening. Value: Mostly excellent, offering fresh food that justifies the premium price. Overall rating: 4 out of 5. Recommendations: I highly suggest Cedars Grill for a laid-back night, especially if you’re staying at the hotel.
While staying at the Castle, we enjoyed a meal at Cedars Grill and found the cuisine to be exceptional. The menu featured a wonderful selection, complemented by an outstanding wine list.
Cedars Grill is a fantastic restaurant set within a stunning hotel. Johnny and Genude provide exceptional service, blending warmth, friendliness, and professionalism that keeps me coming back. If you love meat, their steaks are definitely a must-try. As the title suggests, it’s one of my top favorites!
I dined at Cedars Grill one evening while staying at Lough Eske Castle. The food was excellent, and the staff were remarkably attentive. Our server, Loic, was outstanding—both kind and professional. We will definitely be coming back.
