decoration of a safe taste. The kitchen is refined and balanced. the chord and wines proposed by the waitress was top. She was very pro and kind, it was perfect. We had a great night. We'll be back! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Restaurant du Domaine du Faucon:
Was here for some days, some of them I got dinner as hotel restaurant. Choice almost non existant, extremely long waits for very small portions, and I would expect the taste to be excellent, but it was not so, sauces are too tasty and not exactly a pleasure. I will NOT go back. View all feedback.
The environment is beautiful, but the menu is so overpriced: zäher ́Kanard ́, with too much tasteless potato, the sancerre was too flat for cake, the desert is beautiful, but raw and .well haute cuisine is far away. an annoying experience. the hotel es tip...top: beautiful rooms with everything well organized, tasty decorated and stylish. very friendly staff!
Small choice with unambiguous options. as “gastronomic” it was shown far from it. the service was intermittent. the amuse beech” was a cooked oyster, many cannot eat without alternatives. they prefer to run like a kantine and a real disappointment with high expectations in the face of the region and the employment.
The food is very thorough, the service is completely terrible. there are not enough people at all. it feels a little uncomfortable. but it looks very sweet and they're somehow gone with it. in any case over price.
I keep debating to be positive or a little negative about the whole chateau experience but here is the restaurant experience. Overall it was OK. Nothing spectacular what we expected a little but pleasant none the less. The starters were not that great but the...main course saved the meal. What we noticed though and really bothered us wss that the time between ordering, the starter and main course was extremely short and way to quick. This took away some of the experience. The staff was friendly and spoke English as good as they could and seeing our France was much worse, this was really appreciated. It could help to offer an English translated menu though. Overall a nice meal but for what you get it is a bit over priced.
We had a lovely meal here during one of the nights we stayed in the hotel. The quality of the food was very good but by no means the best food that you will ever experience. I had the Sea food Ravioli to start which...was probably my highlight. It was cooked very delicately and with some very strong flavours coming through and served with a jus that (I think) was a prawn bisque that was excellent. My Partner had the terrine which was also very good and packed with a depth of flavour that you wouldnt be disappointed. For the main, I had the lamb which was adequate but in my opinion not deserving of a michelin star, however, my partner's chicken dish (a signature dish of the Chef) was probably the most chicken tasting piece of chicken that I have had for a long long time and was cooked perfectly, tender and still so juicy. We were recommened to a bottle of Haut Medoc which went very well with the lamb and I think was extremely well priced too. Overall, a very pleasant meal and with great service from all the restaurant staff who were professional and friendly at all times. Some reviews critcise for their lack of english but I found no such problem (even though I dont speak French as they were always polite and friendly and did their best which was as I said, professional all the way through. Worth visiting.
