Taj Mahal - Doncaster

Best Indian in Doncaster! A group of us went after the races, and although the restaurant was quite busy, the staff took great care of us. The food was amazing!

Doncaster now has some truly authentic Indian restaurants. I ordered lamb dhansak, and a large portion was served. It was just as good as what you’d find in the best restaurants in London. I also ordered special rice and a Ferrero Rocher sundae, all of which were delicious and delivered within 40 minutes. However, they did forget the sundae, despite the request.

This has been my first visit since the pandemic of the 2020s began. We went out for a Xmas works party. Food and service was fantastic. We were offered a complimentary cheesecake on the house which was also top notch. Would definitely recommend, especially the chicken hydrebadi.

Amazing food and very friendly staff, it was our first visit here as we're not from Doncaster but had heard good things and it didn't disappoint.

I must say, I’m really enthusiastic about this place because I truly believe in the quality of Indian food in Doncaster. Just a five-minute drive from my home, I was pleasantly surprised by the delightful aromas of Indian cuisine that greeted me after about three weeks. The daal fry was exquisite, rich with wonderful desi ghee, and the chapatis were exactly what I hoped for—nothing like tortillas, but authentic chapatis. I couldn't help but lick my fingers after enjoying the chicken cheema. Thank you for keeping the authentic Indian flavors alive in Doncaster!
