What iDogbert doesn't like about Red Lion Pub:
After another place we tried was closed, we came here for lunch around 1pm on a Friday. Online reviews and menu looked worth a try. Entered the doorway to be greeted by a paper sign stating no food until further notice. Skip this place if you want to eat anything other than crisps. View all feedback. What PaddyJCawkwell likes about Red Lion Pub:
I think this is a lovely little pub, free of the 'you have sat in my seat ' nonsense that ya get in other places. Everyone is welcome. Mark is a good landlord and Jackie is a great cook, her home chips are THE best. Its a great little corner of Conisbrough to go with a friendly reception or if ya wanna go and read ya paper and not speak to many folk thats fine to...it has something for everyone. Highly thought of loc... View all feedback.

read moreThe Red Lion has made some changes due to Covid, with hand sanitizer available and an increased price for pints. Despite no longer serving food, the pub maintains a friendly atmosphere and offers a pub quiz on Mondays. Those looking for a hearty Sunday dinner will not be disappointed, as the roast beef and other dishes receive high praise. The extensive menu and generous portion sizes make it a great value for money. Though the venue may appear dated, the warm service and delicious meals make it a worthwhile choice for a traditional pub experience.
Great little pub, one of the few left in Conisbrough. Love the Sam Smith’s lager which is a good price. Lovely staff and atmosphere especially on Saturday’s.

Great food, great people. The pub has had a make-over recently and it looks great inside and out. There is an excellent menu with a wide selection of food.
