We as... read more The only good thing about this restaurant is the view. Arrived and had to wait for a long time to be seated, despite the restaurant being virtually empty. We asked a man, who seemed to be the owner or management, if we could be seated and he rolled his eyes and told us to wait, muttering in Italian about us being impatient. Pizzas were ok, a bit bland. One meal was inedible, although a female waiter kindly took this off the bill for us as she agreed. Overall, would say this place is only good for a drink with a view, otherwise avoid.

We had great lunch with good service, requested the same table for dinner the day after and this was confirmed AND written down in the reservation book (I stood next to her when she wrote this down). When we arrived the next day the lady with the tattoos and a very bad attitude told us bad luck, I decide and want you to have a table right in the middle. We refused and explained the situation, even wanted to point our agreement out in the book but she didn’t care at all. We requested the same table for specific reasons, the view, the location with a small child and the space. VERY bad attitude, therefore bad service. Disappointed. We have traveled and been in lots of restaurants but have never seen a hostess with such a bad attitude towards guests. We are traveling with a small child and need to look out for something else at 18:30 hours.

Local friends suggested this restaurant and we originally were only going to order some pizzas, but were tempted by the the mixed fish appetizer. Had we not already ordered pizzas, we would have continued with fish ditches … which this restaurant clearly does an excellent job preparing. We enjoyed a (somewhat) local sparkling wine from Franciacorta, which was also amazing. The service was excellent and the view beautiful. I hardly ever take the time to write a review, but this place merits a shout out …
