Was Mckenna Quigley at Eggspression a mag?
My wife and I had breakfast there twice on a recent trip to Montreal. The restaurant was clean, the service was good and friendly, and the food was delicious and hearty. A great way to start the day!It may be difficult to find IF you're looking for it directly off of Saint-Jean Blvd. Once you make the turn onto Rue Shakespeare, you'll see it on the right. What Marlon Shields dislikes about Eggspression:
So I have been there some time and YES new management and YES prices have gone up. The food is still great however they need to work on some fine detail in service. Cook talking loud from the kitchen to people eating at the table. Also cleanness and presentation of waiters needs also to be brought up to code. Smelling of cigarette doesn't really help. - I guess professionalism is lacking. View all feedback.

It had been a while since we ate at this breakfast spot. The illuminated sign on the corner advertised brunch for $8.80. So we decided to give it a try. Guess what? There is no longer any brunch because there is a new owner. The menus have had price changes three times and for the most recent they just crossed out menu items with a black marker and wrote the new prices on top! There were 4 couples in the establishment at 1 p.m. on a Saturday. The service was good. The food very good and the prices average for the West Island at $7.95 for two eggs, coffee, 4 strips of well cooked bacon, toast and fruit. The owner/ cook Judy came to see us at our table. She also gave free coffee to a client who complained about the prices and walked out without ordering anything. Hopefully those people who stopped going to this restaurant will give it another try as Judy and her staff are trying to bring it up to par with other West Island breakfast restaurants.

I recently visited this restaurant and noticed that there is new management and higher prices. The food is still delicious, but there are some improvements needed in the service. The cooks can be heard talking loudly in the kitchen, and the cleanliness and presentation of the wait staff could be better. The presence of cigarettes for sale detracts from the overall professionalism of the establishment. Overall, there is room for improvement.

It had been a while since we last visited this breakfast spot. The lit-up sign on the corner was advertising Brunch for $8.80, so we decided to give it a try. To our surprise, there was no more brunch because there is a new owner. The menu had price changes three times, and for the latest change, they simply used a black marker to write the new prices above the menu items. There were only 4 other customers in the restaurant at 1 o'clock on Saturday. The service was good, the food was very tasty, and the prices were reasonable for the West Island at $7.95 for two eggs, coffee, 4 strips of well-cooked bacon, toast, and fruit. The owner/chef Judy even came to our table to greet us. She also gave free coffee to a customer who complained about the prices and left without ordering. Hopefully, those who have stopped dining at this restaurant will give it another chance, as Judy and her staff strive to compete with other breakfast spots in the West Island.
