Beaut place for cheap eats and drinks while waiting for trains. Spotless restrooms, cheerful and helpful staff, and food/drink specials most days. The last place we eat and drink every time we visit Melbourne View all feedback.

Walked in and ordered a glass of wine. Had seen him being super friendly to others & I gave a smile & a friendly thank you - he threw the glass of bubbles at me , no thank you or pleasantries & seemed put out that he had to get change of a $20 for me. Sat outside and watched him be super friendly to other obvious regulars! Even bought out free beer tasters to next table. Never felt so unwelcome anywhere, ever!!! View all feedback.
When need to wait for a regional train, well a pub in station helps! Pint of craft beer and AFL final on big screen nice. Spacious venue with satisfied crowd. Better than chilly platform.
A great find!!! As we were staying close by always on the lookout for somewhere decent. As we were catching trains I noticed this place. We called in on a Sunday evening. Prices for a glass of house white and a pint of beer were the best we came across. We had a decent meal. The staff were excellent and friendly. We returned on the Monday. It was Happy Hour!!! $10 for a glass of wine and a schooner of beer!! Unbelievable in Melbourne. We had another meal. I fully recommend the Calamari. We talked to the owner. He makes it a condition that the staff are friendly and helpful.
I met up with a friend for drinks before he had to catch his train. We decided to order 2 pizzas to go for $36. However, we ended up waiting by the door for an hour for their electronic buzzer to go off. When a staff member finally asked why we were waiting, I showed him the buzzer and he realized that our order had been misplaced. I had to catch a train, so I returned the buzzer and left without my order. It was a frustrating experience and I lost $36, but I will chalk it up to a lesson learned about Network Pizza. I won't be going back there again. Solidarity!
This bar is located beside the platform 2 at Southern Cross Station. I called in for a Friday lunch and had a capricossia pizza. Pizza was quite average. I have visited several times during their $5 schooner happy hour which is great value. Good selection of beers as well as wines on offer. Mostly quite a busy venue. I enjoy sitting at the window facing the VLine platforms and people and train watch.
Found this great bar in Southern Cross Station to watch some Rugby . Simple menu of burgers, pizza and Palma’s . Great choice at the bar for drinks with beer on tap etc . Sadly we had a glass of there house Shiraz and it was horrible . So that is the only thing I don’t recommend . Maybe try there Cab Sav or Merlot . Not sure if it’s better but we will be back to give it a go . Apart from bad Shiraz, it was a warm, filling experience .
