I was extremely let down by a restaurant that used to be a favorite of mine. I have been a patron of The Lantern for many years, always enjoying their salad bar which, although a bit pricey, was top-notch. The staff was always friendly and the atmosphere was always lively. However, on my most recent visit, things took a turn for the worse. My microwaved potato was cold and did not melt the butter, my granddaughter's fries were added to a Reuben sandwich without our request, and the tea was rancid. Despite my complaints, the owner insisted that everything was fine and that the customer is not always right. I believe in making choices with where I spend my money, and unfortunately, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
When the Lantern restaurant "damaged and the prices were so great. Why did it close as fast as it opened?
I had breakfast this morning and ordered biscuits and gravy. The gravy was cold and they began tearing up the biscuits underneath it. They were not served warm like they should have been. It seemed like they had just been left over from someone else and not reheated. I will not be returning to this restaurant and would recommend others to dine elsewhere.
The quality of the food did not justify the price. I will not be dining here again.
I had breakfast there this morning. I ordered biscuits and gravy. The gravy was cold and they have started serving their biscuits torn in pieces under the gravy. They have not served them this way in the past. It looked like someone else leftovers that had not even been reheated. I will not eat here again and would advise anyone to eat somewhere else.
