What Muhammad Barton doesn't like about Corfu:
very friendly and good service! the ambiente has something coming into the years. the start was not good, the side of the menus sticked to each other. we had cheese, bifteki and speciality of the house. the main instrument of the cook seems to be the frituse. everything that goes, seems to come in there - especially the specificity of the house, cheese and bifteki, however not! the foods were edible, zatziki had to b... We had the need to eat Greek again and stumble over the Corfu Restaurant. The restaurant is located on the main street in a small passage. There is a smoking table in front of the door, which is probably very popular because the ashtray was already very full at 18:00. The facility is very rustic, I felt right in the 70s. Cosy's different. The audience is mixed. The volume was pleasant, so you could speak quietly, although the restaurant was already well visited. The restaurant also offers 4 bowling alleys. We were very friendly with handshake and brought to our reserved table. When we looked at the tablecloth, we arranged a prize game that was eaten in front of us at the table. There were different places to find. Some time later, the menus were brought to us with a welcome duzo. We then ordered our drinks and studied the map. I find the menu personally, as with most Greeks, simply too extensive, less is more. The waiting time for the drinks was ok and the temperature was optimal. I find the prices for drinks very cheap 0.3 ltr Bitburger for 2.00 Euro, Alster 0.4 ltr for 2.50 Euro and the 0.25 ltr red wine for 3.50 Euro. We ordered the following. •Athen Platte – The meat was fat- and taste-neutral, instead of the pommes a baked potato was ordered. A garlic cream was served that was absolutely garlic, so the next day you had the garlic taste in your mouth. That was absolutely impossible. •Lammkotelett– The meat was quite good, but there were no spices, here a baked potato was ordered instead of the pommes. •Parga Plate – Various meat with cheese inside or baked, with croquettes. The whole meat was without taste and very greasy, the croquettes were not yet through and tasted after nothing. The Tzatziki tasted too much onion, which was too much in garlic cream, missing here in the Tzatziki. •Bifteki – The bifteki ́s were ready and free from any taste. The pommes were totally pappy and unsalted, the added rice was too hard. On the way there were mandatory salads. The ingredients were fresh, but the dressing tasted nothing. The main course came after a long waiting period, unfortunately the empty salad plates have not yet been deleted. In addition, only 3 dishes of the 4 were brought, we had to wait another 5 minutes for the last dish. The second round of Ouzo was handed over to the main course. They also had to take this food. It was the worst thing I ever served with a Greek. And I don't have too high requirements for the Greeks as long as it tastes, but that wasn't possible. It took a long time to finally delete the plates. The last round of Ouzo was paid. Before we left, I had to pick up the toilet. An unpleasant smell pulled into my nose, the flushing of the Pissoir worked only with the right effort, the soap dispenser on the sink was defective, and there was a liquid soap on the edge of the basin. The valves were old and could only be operated with difficulty. I felt like a train station. The renovation is absolutely necessary here. Conclusion: This was by far the worst food that has been served me in recent years. The whole food was taste-neutral and badly prepared. The sticky tablecloth and the unpleasant toilet make a thread taste. The service was not very attentive. I can't recommend it. There is enough choice in the Greek area.
