It is a very good place for a day out especially when whether is good. Nice lawn and good cottages. Food is also very much local. You will find may traditional things like chicken cooked in bamboo. You can also test small fried fish. But late night parties are not advisable because the road which connect this place to the highway is not very good. One more this this restaurant doesn’t serve peanuts. . So for munching you have to find something of your test.
Like many other resorts mushrooming in Sonapur area in the outskirts of Guwahati, Deka Sang is a nice place to spend a day out with family and friends. It has got a few tent type huts and expansion work has been going on. Once completed, it will add splendor to its tribal decor. Main attraction for this place is its delectable cuisine, and that is Sunga preparation - Chicken/Pork cooked in bamboo cavity. Taste is different and nice and one should try it without fail.
It was a wonderful experience with lush greenery and serene atmosphere. The food was good, would especially recommend Chunga Chicken and fried Puti Fish. The service was prompt. What more can you ask for in a weekend escape. Not a professional on hospitality , so no technicalities to add. Simply a refreshing place with little interference and noise.A must visit who plan a weekend get away in the nearby of Guwahati.
Dining at this restaurant is wonderful. The food is extremely tasty compared to other dhabas in Sonapur. Local specialties here are a must-try, especially the Sunga pork and pork dishes which are delicious. The only downside is that the service is slow. However, if you have some time to spare, this place is worth visiting. Enjoy a beer or cocktail while waiting for your food, or engage in some betting at the race which, if done responsibly, can be a fun activity for everyone.
