Its a great place for anyone seeking traditional Assamese food. Be it Pork, Chicken, small fish found locally; each and every item is a delicacy. the ambience is good, the staff are courteous. but all good things have a price, food are a bit costly, but when it is negligible compared to the taste. have a go on "Mua Mach Fry" along with "Pithaguri Gahori Mangso". one thing needs to be mentioned it that the servings ar... I went to king chilly with my best friend after another friend's recommendation. They have an authentic assamese menu. I used to be vegetarian that time n she is a non veg, we ordered Joha rice with a veg curry n pork curry. A cosy restaurant with warm hospitality. Had a good evening enjoying local Assamese cuisine. Pabho Fish in mustard based curry was superb. Overall had a good dining experience
Ordered food for 4 people at 12:30 PM, food didn't arrive even after 1 hour. Finally left for airport without having lunch.

Had gone there for the Singhpho Food festival. The food was delicious but the portions too small and the prices astronomic. There ws virtually nothing below Rs 200/- which, in a place like Guwahati, is asking for a bit too much, literally!
Was staying in the Gateway Grandeur hotel on an official visit, and since the main restaurant was booked for a party, was directed to the King Chilly Restaurant in the same hotel. Was an accidental visit, but made my evening. Opted for the Veg Thali & Fish curry (Pabdas Maas). Food was excellent authentic Assamese fare. Would recommend to anyone looking to taste an ethnic Assam meal
