I... read more I had an excellent experience at the Castle Hotel. The service in the restaurant was outstanding, and the bartender was very friendly. The food was delicious. I wish we could have taken the ghost tour, but we were too tired.

Stayed here in room 17 with the 4 poster bed was fantastic loved the smell of the open fire. Had dinner last night bruschetta was lovely then on to the venison. I must admit that I enjoyed the day 14th of Feb got up and had breakfast full Scottish the man that made sure we where happy with are breakfast was really welcoming and I would love to have had that kind of welcome on the first night. Also, the lovely lady at the reception on the 14th was very lovely and let us go and have a look for the resident ghost. Unfortunately, we did not find the resident ghost but we loved every second of this visit. Thank you for the experience and the great time we had. We will be back

My only disappointment was the lack... read more The hotel was very pleasant and well-appointed. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the spirit/history tour was amazing. My only disappointment was the lack of vegetarian and vegan options for dinner; there was only one vegetarian starter available, and nothing else. Thankfully, we had eaten elsewhere, so it wasn’t a major issue. Other than that, everything else was perfect!
