We are here this evening and everything was truly amazing, I had fish soup to start which was one of the best fish soups I have ever had, my wife did not have a starter. I had Sea Bass with a beautiful sauce for main, my wife have Entrecôte steak with bernaise sauce both were cooked to perfection, we couldn't manage deserts as we had lunch earlier but what other customers had look equally as good. Staff very friendly and spoke good English. The downside is that we were staying at the port and had a long climb up the cobblestones and it was a really hot day so we arrived very hot. Well worth the climb and would definitely come back again very soon. Colin
We eat dinner twice here in 2014 and made a return trip this year and were not disappointed. As before the service was first class and the food of the highest standard
High quality restaurant, attentive staff, good value for money. French cuisine.
What a delightful restaurant, we had tried many times to get a table, but the restaurant was always full, I wonder why! So booked early for New Years Day lunch, a choice of 2 set menus, we choose 35 euros, delicious like only the French...can do. Excellent service, not rushed just perfect.
We chose this restaurant because of the very good TA reviews, and we were not disappointed. It is a small place, nicely furnished and welcoming. Real fabric tablecloths and napkins, which is quite the exception in this country. Our sever welcomed us with a smile,...and was kind, quick and friendly throughout the whole dinner. We both opted for a fixed price menu for 37 eur, which included starter, main, cheese and dessert, all from the Breton cuisine tradition. They also have a pretty varied selection of wines (we chose a delicious Cotes du Rhone . Our starter were oysters sourced from a Cancale producer who, we were told, won the gold medal in his category. Well deserved, let me add. These oysters were probably the best we had in our Breton trip (and we had many! . Another specialty of this restaurant is the meat, that they cook on an open fireplace grill. Two points I want to highlight here: the flexibility (I wanted a different cut of meat than the one on the fixed menu, and they obliged without a problem , and the fact that no salt was added to the meat during its cooking which, for me, is a huge plus. The result was a perfectly grilled double entrecote, which I absolutely enjoyed. Cheeses and dessert were good as well, although not as memorable as the stater and main. It is always a good idea to make a reservation. We did while on the way to the restaurant, and when we arrived our table was the only empty one. Overall, it was a wonderful dinner. Good food, excellent service, nice location. We felt welcome, and we loved how staff took pride in ther work and the quality of their food.
