However, recent reservations mishaps have marred the experience for some patrons, with reports of managers dismissing OpenTable bookings and providing inadequate resolutions. Despite these frustrations, many still praise the fantastic cuisine, particularly the standout potatoes of the day, and the lively bar scene featuring live music. Overall, while the restaurant's ambiance and food often receive high marks, prospective diners are advised to confirm reservation methods to avoid disappointment.
I feel compelled to share the disappointing experience my party had at Snake River Saloon. I made a reservation through OpenTable on December 7, 2021, for a dinner on March 4, 2022. When we arrived, the hostess, who was quite rude, informed us that they hadn't been using OpenTable since November. I was taken aback—how would I have known that? I had a confirmation number from OpenTable, and I expected the system to work as intended. The hostess then mentioned that they were using a different platform, TOCK, and that they could not accommodate us that evening. I have been a loyal customer of Snake River Saloon for over 30 years, and it was frustrating to be left without any offer of compensation, such as a gift card, for the inconvenience. As a result, we had to find somewhere to eat at a food hall in Silverthorne on a Friday night. Overall, I was very disappointed in how our reservation was handled.
This is the first negative review I have ever written. I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant.
