Sabor Mazatlan - DILLON
Sabor Mazatlan
Description
Dining at this Mexican restaurant offers a mixed experience. While some patrons rave about the vibrant flavors and attentive service, others are disheartened by overpriced dishes and lackluster meals, particularly noting disappointing fajitas and tasteless nachos. Complaints about surcharges for basic items such as chips and salsa add to the frustration, alongside experiences of subpar service. However, standout dishes like the ceviche and sizzling margaritas receive high praise. Cleanliness and a wide array of vegetarian options further contribute to its charm. Ultimately, this establishment presents itself as a hidden gem for those willing to navigate the inconsistencies.

Arrived to an empty dinning room. Male waiter had no idea about special Blackberry margarita. He seemed basically lost to the world around him. Had to come back to table 3 times to confirm order. Ordered margaritas they came out very small. Wasn’t informed they were $20 margarita shots. Ordered food, queso was baked to cast iron pan. Couldn’t dip chips in it. Super burrito was suppose to have melted cheese on it. No cheese just smothered in green chili. Ordered Fajita mixta very little meat with a pile of peppers and onions. It was suppose to come with cheese also. No cheese, half a teaspoon of sour cream, teaspoon of pico. Asked for salsa and he said that was an up charge. $93 later we’re leaving very unsatisfied! We won’t be back!
Great food!! The amount of meat we got in our molcajete was very respectable, and it was seasoned well, too! Also the nachos were amazing. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Nachos
Service was good, but food was mediocre at best. Prices are expensive, and there are much better options in the county for less money. I'd rather have Taco Bell, to be honest. Ordered carne asada enchiladas with were pretty bland and expensive. The enchilada sauce tasted like it came out of a can. The rice was more like sticky sushi rice than Spanish rice. And no free chips and salsa like pretty much Mexican restaurant in the county. When the bill came, the receipt said there would be a 3% surcharge for credit cards. Something I must have missed on the menu. Or did I? The tip screen starts at 20%, which is on top of the 3% and taxes. Tips should be calculated on food and drink only. Tipping culture is getting out of hand. Won't be back.
