We dined at this restaurant twice last week because the food and service were outstanding. Amy, the chef, handcrafts everything, including baking fresh apple bread daily. I have attached a photo of the delicious pear and vanilla parfaits we enjoyed. The presentation was beautiful, with the parfait inside a pastry shell and zimt-flavored leaves on top. Liam was our server both times, and he is a true asset to the rest... View all feedback.
What Phillip Dunford doesn't like about The Bailiwick Free House:
This restaurant has the dishonour of serving me the worst steak I ever ate in my life. It was served grey, cold, chewy and full of gristle. When the waiter saw I was struggling he brought me a knife that he presented me in a box. It made me chuckle as a chainsaw may have been better offered up. I think even a rabid dog may have passed by this piece of horse meat. I'm not a complainer in a restaurant, so I ate it as I... View all feedback.
The whole experience was amazing! the food was beautiful and liam was the best! liam was very knowledgeable and made the whole experience/night. many thanks also to the chefs for the most delicious food. will come back in any case!
Lovely pub and restaurant. We had lunch there and it was great food, tasty burgers and poutine (Canadian chip delicacy). My wife has been for dinner there and also says it's brilliant with a more extensive evening menu. Service is friendly and helpful. Venue is beautiful. Recommend highly.
A service so personal, we felt like we were the only guests in the restaurant. The food was wonderful, hello bon bons, and I thoroughly recommend the sea bass. We sadly didn't have quite enough room for desserts but fixed this with a half hour walk. We were warmly welcomed back by Liam, who at this stage, already felt like an old friend. It was as if the stars had aligned and the dessert gods had spoken. The raspberry trifle ticked every box on my pud wish list and I'd happily return just for this. Thank you for a wonderful meal.
One of the best Sunday roasts I have had in a long time. Well presented, tasty, perfectly cooked. Roast beef was tender, Yorkshire Pudding were a decent size, Roast Potatoes were crispy, fluffy inside and perfectly cooked, nice selection of veg, with a sumptuous Beef and Onion gravy. Staff were absolutely fabulous, especially Liz who was attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly.
I feel very lucky to have the Bailiwick as a local pub/restaurant. The food and service are both exceptional on equal measures. (Shout out for Liam, Liz and Emma that looked after us on Saturday night Another plus is the location its perfect for anyone wanting to explore Great Windsor Park. And dogs are welcome
