I have eaten in five continents. The place serves petit lightly seasoned chicken, spinach, beef, cheese, tuna, corn, ham and cheese empanadas and alcohol. This cosy inexpensive joint brings back memories of laid back Spanish street cantinas found in Argentina or Chile. I suggest you request a dish of free side sauces to liven the taste of the food. The Les Halles location is really rustic and a great cheap lunch alternative.
I think the Deliveroo demand is too much for them to be running a restaurant also. We really liked these freshly made South American pasties. The menu and choices are brilliantly presented, loads of varieties, its educational too. Great variety of drinks also. The food itself is delicious. However the service was woefully slow, the wait for our first course was over 45 minutes, followed by 45 minutes waiting to for dessert. There was a constant flow of deliveroo type guys in and out, and it seemed like the establishment were concentrating their efforts there. More resource required. I'd be tempted to go back, as the food was ace, but I would need to know they had sorted out their time management.
Good quality empanadas, tried six different ones and they were all good. The most flavorful full ones was the the ones with beef, chicken and cheese ones were good, but no wow factor. Reasonably priced and quick service.
Great location: you will spot Boludo Empanadas right from the train station - 2 mins from the city centre. Amazing empanadas: I have never before tried empanadas and they are awesome and unusual! Welcoming atmosphere: you may chat about any topic with the owner of the restaurant that will absolutely cheer up your mood.
