What Letha Auer doesn't like about Le Resto du Coin:
My husband and I choose this small restaurant after having read good reviews. We were the first customers that evening. When we walked in and very unpleasant smell filled our nostrils and we almost left. We decided the cook must have burned something quite badly. Very few other restaurants were open, so we stayed. Sitting between two open windows, we got fresh air that cleared the smell somewhat. We waited quite awhi... View all feedback.
My wife and I visited this restaurant after walking around the backstreets of digne. a hidden gem! we had both the court of the day (a pig, a fish,) and they were excellent. the appetizers were unusual, but extremely tasty. the owner/Koch was enthusiastic. to chat (maybe too enthusiastic about his wife), and it turns out that he is a great fan of queen elizabeth from england!
Our initial impression of the place was positiw, but it was only downhill. none of the foods was fresh, fish was obviously days old and perhaps even frozen (by picard). house wine was terrible and the pear tea was also day old. best. the worst part was a customer who showed himself very restless in the Covid times. the owners were very careless and the customer went on and around the restaurant without trying mask to talk to other customers. we left right away.
We where visiting Digne les Bains for 4-5 hours and looked for a place to have lunch. We found this restaurant when walking around in the old parts of the village. We ordered fresh tuna and duck and we found the food absolutely wonderful. The...service was perfect and we had a great time. Thank you from the Swedish couple.
We had no booking and were met with impeccable politeness. The service was assured, the food highly typical of the region with the best ingredients.
Came here late one night hoping they were still open and there was one customer left who was about to leave, however they served us anyway. We had one of the best homestyle french meals ever, satisfied our cravings good wine good service... fantastic homemade ice-cream... including Lavender!
