Restaurant Sonnenhof - Dietzenbach

So I've stayed at the hotel several times as I've been working locally.Firstly the breakfast, the biggest choice I've seen outside of the USA.For example, there are 25 cereals, 16 jams, 16 yogurts and even 6 types of butter, let alone more types of bread than you can shake a stick at. And, of any form of egg cooking you want and the usual cold meats but the top of the heap is the salmon.For the main restaurant there's an interesting choice (for a Brit) and they give you chance to sample German dishes. I've never had soup in a glass before which is interesting. I've eaten here several times and never been disappointed.The service is friendly and they obviously take great pride in the food. They even changed my mind about German wine! There's a large outside area for when it's warm and colourful inside areas when it isn't.What surprises me is that there aren't more people eating here who are not residents of the hotel. I guess a lot of people don't like hotel restaurants - this one is worth at least one visit.

Excellent traditional food, excellent beers, friendly service. Nice surrounding , quiet and relaxing.

Wir waren am 31.12.2016 zu Gast im Hotel Restaurant Sonnenhof in Dietzenbach.Nach Aussage des Personals war es das erste Silvester seit 15 Jahren das in dem Hotel gefeiert wurde. Was mich zuerst etwas skeptisch machte. Aber ich muss sagen, es war ein wunder schöner Abend und eine gelungene Veranstaltung! Es gab ein reichhaltiges Buffet mit einem super leckeren Roastbeef, Rehbraten und vieles mehr.Zum Dessert gab es frische Crêpes und leckere Cremes. Um Mitternacht gab es das obligatorische Mitternachtsbuffet mit Gulaschsuppe, Käse und Schinken.Das ganze Gespickt mit freundlichem und aufmerksamen Personal, einem guten DJ der einen guten mix Spielte so das die Tanzfläche nicht wirklich leer wurde.Alles in allem ein schöner Abned

Good food and beer. a good choice on the menu. Service could not be faulted and the food arrived promptly. Not a lot more you could expect from business hotel

Speisen normal, nichts, wo man sagen kann excellent, köstlich etc. aber nicht schlecht.Suppe war lauwarm und Fleisch leider durchgebraten.
