Stopped in for a to-go order and to do some Christmas shopping while traveling. The grilled strips and veggies were so good. The staff was professional and continued to update me about my order as I shopped. The prices on their gift items were great. What Prong Jones dislikes about Cracker Barrel:
It’s frustrating to think that we give tips for online orders and still end up with such subpar service. I even tried calling several times, but no one answered. Am I really expected to drive 30 minutes back to the restaurant just for gravy? Overall, the food was okay, but it was served cold, the latte was watery, and the eggs were not cooked as requested. Mostly good southern cooking. The country fried chicken was very good, you get 4 whole pieces. Mashed potatoes were not cooked enough with big pieces of potatoes that were not done. All in all you can't beat cracker barrel for good down home cooking.
Shrimp, fries, coleslaw, turnip greens, biscuits,and hushpuppies! Sweet Tea on the side! Son had breakfast for lunch! That's how we do it in the south!
Who doesn’t like Cracker Barrel?? Tried the new bacon and egg hash brown casserole layer. Let me tell you what. It is good!
