Dakota Diner - Dickinson County

Great hotel, great help very clean and very comfortable

After a long day on the road we were looking for something other than chain type resturants. We decided to stop in at Dakota Diner in Dickinson, ND. We were so glad that we did! First of all the portion sizes are enormous, my goodness; wow!! The food selection was broad and varied, we chose breakfast and it was fantastic. As good as the food was our server Carly was absolutely a delight to talk to. We feel like we made a friend after eating at Dakota Diner. If you are passing through Dickinson, ND stop in and say hello to our friend Carly and enjoy a great meal.

Excellent food and fair prices. A must stop if in the Dickinson area.

Staff was very friendly. Food was hit or miss, steak was good but totally unseasoned. Green beans were the same. The soup was good, but it was way too salted. The roll that came with a meal was cold. In general I think if they had a little bit better kitchen staff, I think it could be much better.

Food was OK but service was terrible. We stopped for lunch a couple days ago when we got to Dickinson. Service then was bad but thought we would try again. Maybe the first time was just bad timing. The service was worse this time. After ordering our drinks took about 5 minutes to get them. Then after taking our order I watched the waitress put the order pad in her apron and wonder around. Other customers came in and she got them their drinks. Then took their order. After that she went to the kiosk to input their order but not sure if she put in ours then. So we wait. The other customers received their food and still we wait. After another 5 minutes I am trying to get her attention. Finally she brings my wife's food and tells me she will bring mine in a minute. My wife was half done eating hers when mine finally arrived. We probably will not be staying in Dickinson again. But if we do, we will NOT be eating at Dakota Diner.
