Was Roland Vest at Hickory Log a mag?
Overall, my experience was quite positive. However, I found the prices to be rather steep, especially given the quality of the food. The Long Island iced tea was around $13, and a 10-ounce ribeye cost about $25. For two steak dinners, two appetizers, one soda, and a Long Island iced tea, our bill came to just over $100. The service was decent; our waitress was attentive, but she came across as a bit irritated. The at... View all feedback.

What Carla Champ Hefner dislikes about Hickory Log:
Was very disappointed in service it was not friendly at all waited 15mins for someone to come to table. Then seem like after she bought us our food she didn’t seem to want to be bother again so she bought us more dranks so she didn’t make another trip back to us. The food was great. I called my order in and picked it up. This food was excellent and the young lady at the register was very nice and pleasant! Nice place!

I asked the waitress to bring me those missing toppings (though I was surprised that steak burgers don’t typically come with them), and she assured me they would arrive. To combat the dryness of the patty, I requested BBQ sauce, but it turned out to be so watered down that I was almost ready to give up on the burger entirely. I then asked if they had a thicker BBQ sauce, and the management kindly brought me a different option, claiming it was thicker. I decided to give it a try, even though, just by looking at it, I suspected it wouldn’t be much better. My dining companions were also disappointed with their ribs, as the meat was overcooked. Overall, this is not the place to go for quality BBQ. Additionally, I suggest that the servers should leave a pitcher of water on each table, allowing customers to refill their drinks as needed. I felt quite thirsty after my meal but was too disappointed to request a refill. About the venue: - **Parking**: There’s plenty of space available. - **Kid-friendliness**: They provide crayons and coloring paper for children. - **Wheelchair accessibility**: The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.

I’m not a fan of the decor that pays homage to small-town life and childhood memories, particularly in the lounge, but I do appreciate the vintage interior design. The restaurant has a nostalgic feel reminiscent of the 70s and 80s, which I really enjoy. I hope they never update the decor because it adds to the charm. If you can, make it a holiday tradition to dine here in December (even as early as November). They go all out with Christmas decorations, creating a magical atmosphere that truly helps get you in the holiday spirit. **Parking**: There’s plenty of free parking available in a large lot on both sides of the building, as well as in front. The parking at the back is reserved for employees. **Kid-friendliness**: The restaurant has four dining areas: the main dining space, another with cool tree decorations on the ceiling, a back area for large parties, and then the lounge. The first three areas are very family-friendly. The lounge is more focused on drinks and might not always be suitable for children, but I’ve seen several families dining there. The entire restaurant is smoke-free. **Wheelchair accessibility**: There are two ground-level entrances, making it easy for those with mobility issues to access the restaurant without any steps.
