I was tired after a long week of work so instead of cooking dinner, we went out to eat. I wanted breakfast so hubbs chose bob evans. The reason was clean and welcoming. So we walked in, couple of workers by register standing talking. They looked at us and 1 ran to the back. The restaurant is over half empty. The one comes back and says it 'll be a 15 minute wait for a table. I looked at her and said with all these empty tables? Well, we are swamped and only have 2 servers was the reply I was given. Not worth the price. The lettuce was wilted, and everything tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for too long. The avocado was smashed instead of being properly sliced. I was not impressed.
I requested utensils for two meals but only received one set. I asked for condiments, but didn’t get any. The food was decent, but the portion sizes were smaller than what I’ve experienced elsewhere. My husband’s meal came with nearly no hash browns, and the Country Biscuit Sausage Gravy Biscuits were burnt.
The sausage gravy here is amazing—definitely a must-try! I personally enjoy it with toast since I'm not a fan of biscuits, so I wish that option was available!
