What User doesn't like about Rusted Crow Detroit:
the atmosphere 10/10, but the food 3/10, such a wasteful opportunity! I tried the santa fe burger, very disappointed! the burger was not seasoned at all, no soaked, tasted like nothing. one of her cocktails, also very bad. tested as load bought mixer. View all feedback.

Not bad. not great! we were thrilled to try this restaurant after it was recommended by a friend. we arrived at 5:30 a.m., no one waited before us and the restaurant was approx. 1/3 full. We said it would wait 30 minutes. we noticed that there was only one waitress on the floor and went on to be patient and to wait our quest. after almost 45 minutes and many people who arrived to us sat (we assumed they had reservations), one of the bussers checked us and commented on those we were waiting for. After we got our table, the hostess lilly continued to take our drink order. she informed us that they were very short staff, but she wanted to help. our waitress stopped at the table to tell us that lilly would bring us our drinks. we never saw our waitress again. lilly took our food order, brought our food, cleansed our teller, added our drinks and continuously ensured that we needed nothing. because she just jumps in to help her, she was rock star! the food was good. we're coming back. we enjoyed the atmosphere, the decor and the music. we understand the current state of the restaurants and try our best to support small businesses. as this is said, teamwork in these days goes far and without them, I think we will see many, many companies closing.
Great eating with some unique taste options like erdnussbutter and jelly hamburger. I had the wing appetizer and the size and taste of the wings were great, would get them back. we often find ourselves in detroit asking where to eat and we always know that this is a reliable and beautiful sit down restaurant.
Pre COVID Rusted Crow: 5 stars. Spinach artichoke dip was seriously the best I had ever had their app with goat cheese crostini was also amazing. Both burgers my friend I had were very good as well. I don't remember which one she had but I think mine was the dill burger. Their food was unique, quality, and so delicious!! On top of the good food they had solid cocktails, good music, an overall really cool rustic atmosphere inside. I was blown away couldn't wait to come back. It was so nice I recommended it to all of my friends visiting downtown.Post COVID Rusted Crow: 1 star. This place now has some serious issues. I was really tempted to give a 1 star review but I remembered how good this place used to be and I know the staff was trying their hardest under the circumstances so I decided to give 3 stars based on the average of both of my experiences. We arrived there and they said it would be a 45 min wait for a table because they were low on kitchen staff but then they changed their mind and sat us. They then proceeded to give us a menu which had changed drastically since the last time I had been there. No spinach artichoke dip HUGE BUMMER since that was the reason I went there to eat. A lot of the menu items changed from unique but tasty pairings to things you could easily prep from the freezer (which while disappointing, it was understandable for their staffing situation). For the lack of staff, our service wasn't too slow but there were other larger parties that had to wait pretty long for their food. Despite the staffing circumstances our server was a ROCK STAR! I wish I had her name to give her a shout out because she was incredibly friendly and accommodating to us while also trying to serve almost the entire restaurant by herself. Overall, I'd say most of the issues at this place are due to lack of staffing and organization. Until they can get that figured out, I would recommend not eating here because it is just not what it used to be. I really hope this place can get some more staff and bring their menu back up to par so they aren't another casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic.
