Pao - Detroit

We were seated 30 minutes past our reservation time for a large party, but we were able to enjoy a drink at the bar while we waited. The staff confirmed the policy that gratuity is included at 20%, which I am not a big fan of. However, the food was amazing!

Very nice place. a bit expensive, but I guess. the alcoholic beverages were somewhat watered, but whatever. that's it. good eating, great ambiente. our server was also very nice. my biggest complicity would be her resting situation. they have unisex bathrooms. I personally don't want to go to the same public toilet as men. also its only stall, so there is always a wait outside the bathroom. I also noticed that they don't have paper towels in the toilet room. only hand dryer. once again, I don't like a hand dryer. I like to dry my hands with paper cloth. other than that, I would recommend. they had dessert one that should die for. some kind of cake with fresh strawberries and like a strawberry conserve on the top. it was delicious

Another gem in downtown Detroit. We sat at the bar upstairs with amazing service. The Shishito Peppers were a great appetizer. The orange chicken and vegetable fried rice were the perfect pair. The butter cake was delightful.

The only item that was worth the price was the pork dumplings. The other items, especially the vegetarian ones, were quite disappointing. I can make better fried rice at home. The music was too loud. However, the staff including our waiter were really nice.
