I wish I had discovered this place sooner. I miss the Bottom Line in Midtown, but Java House has the coolest atmosphere of any coffee shop I've ever visited! The entire artistic vibe of this block is truly one of the city's hidden gems. View all feedback.
By far the coolest coffee shop in the D! I like how they used local artist, reused materials from abandoned houses, donates produce from their garden, hosts local events and maximized abandoned buildings. And my coffee was delicious!(Motor City Java House 17336 Lahser Rd Detroit) @java__house #motorcityjava #detroit #detroitcoffee
Doesn't cater to non dairy but the tea is good and staff is really funny. I'm just blown away by the beautiful seating outside
I love it great i had green tea I brought a Java shirt I'll be back LoL
Great staff, great coffee. A nice place to meet up or hang out and get some work done. They also have live music twice a month. I just can't express how cozy this place is. As some one who frequents coffee shops to meet with people and work on my laptop, I rank this as my #1. The staff are friendly and welcoming and enjoy having people in their space. They are huge supporters of the community where they reside. I couldn't as for more.
It was a very nice atmosphere to be able to go in for awhile. I just got a hot chocolate (not a coffee drinker) and a large was very reasonably price. I was hoping for a little more food options (to be fair, I could have/should have asked if they had more soups or anything else available). Staff was very friendly so it is my fault for not asking. I will be back in the future for sure, even if it is to enjoy a hot chocolate while I read a book.
