Monroe Street Cafe - Detroit

My wife and I dined at this restaurant last night and had an incredible meal. Every dish was delicious and definitely worth the money. We will definitely be coming back.

The filet was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection. The garlic mashed potatoes and carrots were also amazing. The portions are generous and perfect for sharing.

Funny how peoples experiences reflect their reviews. Fortunately my bf and i had a wonderful experience! We had prime rib and a porterhouse both cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes I feel like the waitresses did the best they could. Another set of hands may have helped. The place was PACKED. We had a young friendly girl. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Monroe. A perfect edition to our weekend getaway!

Food is excellent! Wait staff is Excellent! May seem expensive to some but worth every Dime! All homemade recipes even the BBQ sauce is custom! Angelina is top NOTCH! steaks, ribs, tails best you'll find on Monroe

The service at this restaurant is excellent and the prices are great. I deducted one star because the soup was a bit salty and the wine by the glass wasn't the best quality. However, the main dish was very good and you get two generous courses plus a glass of wine for under $50.
