Really good food but their new containers for the red beans and rice aren't so good. Made a mess. Also, sure would be nice if you got the red beans, sausage and shrimp in one container and the rice in another. As cheap as rice is you'd think that you'd get more. View all feedback.
What Nubia doesn't like about Louisiana Creole Gumbo:
The macaroni is stove top poorly seasoned. The seafood gumbo is spicy and salty as is the red beans rice w/meat. The baked chickens presentation was poor. It looked raw. I’m disappointed. The cook must either be new or just doesn’t care anymore which is typical of businesses that gain popularity. I won’t be back. View all feedback.
Enjoyed the gumbo I received, should have got the Supreme but settled for the seafood gumbo and had to get it home and add just a little more seasoning. Ingredients melted in your mouth wish it had more flavor. Cornbread muffins were flavorless.Food: 3/5
The food is hot, fresh and flavorful. A really nice menu and great staff. We grabbed takeout and waited maybe 5 minutes even though the place was packed.Food: 5/5
Been in this city 23 years and never ate at this place. Decided to do DoorDash yesterday to order. I decided on the catfish poboy with a side of red beans and rice. The fish was so undercooked and unseasonably I had to heat up some grease and fry it more. They had wilted lettuce and tomato on what looked like a large hot dog bun. The red beans had a sweet taste which was not good. I did report this to door dash with pictures which I forgot to save. They gave me a $5 refund. I tried calling the store, no answer. I probably won't be back. FRIED FISH SHOULD NOT BE SOFT IN THE MIDDLE!! THAT'S BAKED FISH!!
Seafood creole stew was under seasoned and served over cold rice and shrimp that had just been thawed out and tossed on a plate. Some of the oysters were going bad. Lady who took my order was nice, but this was the worst food experience I’ve had in awhile.
This was my first and last time visiting this restaurant. I 've lived in the south for well over 16 years, I 'm west Indian and I 've also enjoyed authentic Louisiana cooking. I can throw down in the kitchen and I 've enjoyed great southern food as well. Let 's just say this however was not that. Talk about a disappointment. With a name like Louisiana Creole Gumbo me and my stomach were expecting delicious authentic food.I entered the restaurant and was about to order from the self service kiosk but after a few minutes I was greeted and a lady at the counter took my order. The customer service was fine I 'd say, as the menu options were explained and the food came fast. However the lack of flavor was the issue. To begin the collard greens had absolutely no seasoning, not one smoked neck bone or meat morsel. Not one pepper flake or dust in sight. The macaroni and cheese was mushy, oily and lacked flavor. To add insult to injury was the gumbo supreme. It tasted like someone tried to doctor up some Campbell 's tomato soup, by adding celery, rice etc. I said to myself Lord , not even authentic andoullie sausage? The sausage they used no lie was similar to Vienna sausages. Shrimp was overcooked and the whole combo just lacked that true flavor. While initially it looked promising, the corn bread was bland and solid as a rock smh. I literally broke it in half took a bite and had to just spit it out. This whole experience was especially disappointing as I make it a point to support black businesses however the quality just wasn 't there. Whoever is in that kitchen needs to take some cooking lessons because they are putting the namesake of the restaurant to shame. I ended up just trashing the majority of the food, talk about a waste.
