I highly recommend the burger! My lunch companion had the catfish sandwich, and we finished every last bite on our plates. A fellow diner from Dearborn mentioned that the burger is delicious without being overly seasoned to the point of burning your mouth. I truly love this place! View all feedback.
What Trina Trina doesn't like about Detroit Vegan Soul:
I stopped by while passing through town and tried the okra, yams, cornbread, and peach cobbler. Unfortunately, none of it tasted fresh—the cornbread was so hard I couldn't even bite into it. The portion sizes didn't justify the prices, and the flavors were nothing to write home about; they were mediocre at best. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I traveled from the city and ordered okra, yams, cornbread, and peach cobbler. Unfortunately, none of the dishes were fresh—I couldn’t even bite into the cornbread. The prices do not match the portion sizes, and the taste was just mediocre. I wouldn’t recommend this place. It seemed like it should have been a great experience based on the positive reviews, but it was quite the opposite.
This is hands down the best vegan food in Detroit. The Wels sandwich was amazing. Everything was served warm, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor.
I had the po' boy sandwich with a side of sautéed greens, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious both were. The sandwich, in particular, was excellent. It's great to have a vegan restaurant right in the neighborhood!
I'm here from another state looking for vegan food. it's not easy, but if you? re not open please be more mindful of ppl time and effort to come to find just a hand note of new hours and they? closed again. take the time to post on google so others don't waste them? re time and gas like me. I don't come back to this . I can cook home, I came for good food and service or that is missing. I hope vegan restaurants are successful, but it will take more effort. that's not the first time I was here, either I gave a second try.
We ordered the catfish, cheeseburger, collard greens, hopping John and coleslaw. Everything was delicious and hot, fresh and seasoned well. Big props to the owner for running the joint solo the whole day (her employee was sick and she was forced to operate the entire space alone), she was poised and gracious and just lovely. Great food, great vibe.
