Caucus Club Detroit

This was our 1st time at Caucus Club won't be the last!!! I was surprised that reservations were available for the same day/evening, which made me think, maybe it's not that good... this was not the case!!! Our server was Shelly she was awesome! She made great recommendations a top notch old Fashion (she bartends as well). My husband and I both got the 8 oz filets and they were cooked to perfection!! We were able to split the mushroom topper zip sauce (so keep that in mind). We frequent fancy restaurants often and love a good steak, but other establishments can't get it right!! So, we were nervous it wouldn't be cooked how we asked, but it was cooked perfectly melted in our mouths. I want to say it was the best filets we've ever had!! Impressive kudos to the chef!! We ordered the Mac and cheese (all sides come family style to split) and it was heavenly/rich! Only thing I would do differently is swap the Mac n cheese for mash potatoes because I love to dip my steak into a little mash zip for the perfect bite. Dessert we chose tiramisu and it was excellent. Finally a place that doesn't put a new age spin on it, it was traditional and one of the best I've had!!! And I've had a lot ???. We got lucky with metered street parking for $3 We cannot wait to return!! (3 hours) but they offer valet for $15.

Andrew went above and beyond with our service. It was a birthday dinner I feel like he made everything worth while plus he was doing his thing with the strawberry lemon Drops

Very intimate location for a special evening! Me and my girls enjoyed being dined in such a lovely location it was my birthday and they made it very special for me! Concierge was amazing, valet was super helpful from getting out the car to helping pick up the cake.. they boxed out entire tables meal and they do not require you to use only one payment method! The bar tender was lovely, and can make a stiff drink!!! I will be back

Overall a very good experience. The waitstaff was excellent. But if you are not a meat eater there were not a lot of other options. It is rather pricey and good for special occasions.

Our table service for the salads was impeccable. The waiter, Antonio, is both an expert in all things cuisine, plus his humor was much appreciated after a long week of work. Bravo to The Caucus Room!
