The catfish was cooked perfectly and paired well with the shrimp. The okra was also delicious, as was the coleslaw.
The fries taste like they were fried in dirty grease. And the chicken taste like old refried chicken. The only good thing was the ora and the fact it was hot.
This is the best Captain Jay's on the east side! The food is always fresh and they accept EBT.
I have to be honest, the service at this restaurant was pretty good when I went. The line wasn't too long and I ordered through the drive-thru. The order was big, but the wait was reasonable. I was a bit disappointed that they asked if I wanted lemon pepper but didn't include it. I'm not sure if it got busy and they forgot who wanted it or not. I would give them a 3-star rating because the food was actually good and it didn't make me feel sick. The food wasn't greasy either.
