Beach Walk Cafe - Destin

My family had the swordfish, snapper and steak and I had the risotto. It was all delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the risotto. It's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Waitstaff was very friendly and attentive.

Everything was outstanding except our entrees of shrimp scampi. The Liquid Sunshine cocktail was delicious light and refreshing. The crab and corn bisque was very savory and delicious. My husband 's crab cake appetizer was very good, and the key lime dessert was spectacular. We dined on Independence Day and the manager made certain to point out the fireworks, of which we had a lovely view. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The only disappointment was the shrimp scampi, which used fettuccine noodles (this would be better with angel hair or at least linguini) and everything stuck together (which is unexpected for scampi). Ths sauce was too thick or not enough or absorbed by the pasta? The shrimp were over cooked and tough. I do not recommend this entree; we will choose something else when we return. The restaurant 's ambiance is delightful.

The manager made us feel guilty for arriving 5 minutes early and would not seat us. Then, while we were waiting, the hostess got yelled at for seating people before 5 p.m. because the manager wasn't happy. It was awkward and unprofessional. We did not stay for dinner because we did not want to support this type of business.

We ate twice at the Beach Walk Cafe and had delicious meals both evenings. The grouper and steak with shrimp were fantastic. The key lime pie was delectable! The service was prompt and courteous. We ate inside and had a beautiful view of the ocean. This was an amazing restaurant and an experience we'lll never forget

When you are staying here, there are very few reasons to leave. This is certainly not one of those reasons. All meals, all days. Can't recall of anything that wasn't thoroughly enjoyed, expertly explained, prepared , presented!
