what a picturesque place: this restaurant was built in 1929 by one of the Bauhaus architects 30 carl fieger) and restored fundamentally renovated a decade ago – and again to a popular place for the Dessau citizens and the steadily increasing number of tourist. the view of the elbe spectacular and the eating quite well: the roasted trout fills the congratulated goat cheese in the autumn leaf salad of the roasted callb... What Kathleen Wiedemann doesn't like about Kornhaus:
During our visit to all the Bauhaus sites in Dessau we couldn't miss the Kornhaus. Again a characteristic building, beautifully positioned on the bank of the Elbe river. The weather was sunny, the terrace almost full, the view was nice, the food was honest. Service...more than friendly and prices very reasonable. The only little thing was that the Bauhaus experience limited itself to the building itself, the dinnerwa... View all feedback.
After 90 km of bike tour on the elberadweg we sat here at sunset with a look at the very relaxed. The selection on the menu is excellent, the drinks came very fast, the service was also mostly attentive.I had the menu for 31 €, my wife had the cäsar salat with chicken strips. My menu was excellent, very fine tasted, the tasty had not been but full recommended for this wonderful place, especially because we could sit outside and relax the elbe and let the evening sound out.
On the occasion of our 51st high-time day, my man and I wanted to get some culinary pampering and have therefore again visited the kornhaus, which we have avoided for years, because we had no good memory. but we wanted to convince ourselves that after the change of the owner, something might have become better. so today we have gone joyful mutes and good hope to the lunch table. the restaurant on the terrace was well visited but there were also some tables free and so we settled on a table with good intention. waiter came, we ordered our drinks and feeds to which we didn't have to wait too long. but then it was said to practice in geduld. We then waited for over 1 hour until we finally had our tellers at the table. the alleged butter potatoes had not seen any butter after my view. Moreover, they were cold and hard but sufficient to do so by the amount which one cannot claim from the meat. the portions were generally quite small and tasteless. the sweet (paprika) was still hard and too sour. I didn't say it, I've eaten much better and much cheaper.
Atmosphere super ingenious landscape.Personal nice and helpful but structural problems with the agreements and wish of pächterin and companies.
Moderate to bad. atmosphere hectic. the reviews of Honney-Bunny 89 and siwinkler40 are absolutely true. how to find the brunch excellent, we are a puzzle with packed aldi cheese, where you can still see the print of the packaging. absolute moneymaking. was never different in the corn house. they are only happy because many outside view the building architecture and never come again! we wouldn't recommend a visit there. if we could forgive 0 stars, we would do so.
We (3 girls) were to visit a friend and wanted to make it a little cozy on the elbufer and lunch in a beautiful atmosphere. what we experienced here is hardly to be overdowed. until we got the first drinks, we went off for 20 minutes! for our appetizer (2 pfifferlingssuppen and 1 gazpacho) we certainly waited 30 minutes. the gazpacho itself was quite delicious. the pfifferlingssuppen, on the other hand, were nothing meaningful, fade and consisted mainly of only looked. (price for this over €6.-) also by after seasoning with salt and pepper we could hardly bring taste to the suppe. Too bad for poor pfifferling! the absolute oberhammer met us at the lead. the main course of the operation as "big salat with pfifferlingen" consisted of maybe 10 salat leaves. when we pointed out, we were also brought a little salate. but the whole thing to sell as a lead for over €12. is already a sweat. as if that were not enough, we got the pfifferlingsragout soup from the appetizer, into which the chef had thrown a few pfifferlings. all main dishes were unfortunately tasteless. we ordered a little cub and a little dressing for the salads, as the salate was unfortunately a bit dry. the dressing, however, consisted of water and yoghurt with a hauch edgy and tasted absolutely nothing. the absolute top bang met us in the bill. the pfifferlingsragout (in addition to the one-of-ten potatoes ordered) cost 8.-€ and tasted after seeing and nothing else. and then we were actually charged 1.-€ for the salat dressing! that is absolutely incomprehensible to me. when we spoke the waitress on it, we were told that the dressing was calculated because the crimson crow was not set in bill. what's that gonna do to my friend if she didn't even eat from the quark? When we pointed out that eating was not tasty and was totally overpriced, we were offered to get the chef, because he also made the prizes. But this one could not be seen at the table. for that, an older lady came to the table (small the chefin) who told us several times in a very rude ton that she could not give us a discount and we have to pay the dressing. we paid and left the property. I have to say I've experienced a lot of things, but that's really never done. overpriced prices and tasteless eating. Maybe you should get some thoughts here! Price-performance ratio is not right in front and back! unfortunately a very, very disappointing lunch with friends!
