Reviews - Ray's Bbq
Reviews summary
Ray's BBQ in Desoto delivers classic Southern smokehouse fare—brisket, ribs, pulled‑pork baked potatoes, mac and cheese, beans and potato salad—anchored by a much‑praised barbecue sauce. The small, clean spot offers booths, attentive friendly service, and wallet-friendly prices, making it popular with locals and travelers alike. Call ahead for slow‑cooking baked potatoes; most guests rave about brisket and sides, though occasional quality inconsistencies have been reported.

Ray's is our go to bbq spot in Desoto. They have delicioussss baked potatoes! There's nothing that compares to them. Make sure you call and order those ahead of time as they take a while to cook or are sometimes even sold out. The barbecue sauce is well seasoned and tasty. The turkey legs are steaming hot so be careful. The workers are kind and try to get to know their customers. The place is small, but there are ple... View all feedback.

"I would give the brisket a perfect 5 out of 5 stars, and the same goes for the mac-n-cheese. The potato salad and baked beans earned an impressive 4.7 out of 5 stars. I also appreciated that they toasted the bread; it was a wonderful addition to the meal. The BBQ sauce was delicious, and the customer service was fantastic. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant!"
During our visit from Georgia, we discovered Ray's through Google Maps, and we’re so glad we did! The food was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We ended up returning the next day. On both occasions, we had the pleasure of chatting with someone named Carol, who recommended several attractions for us to explore. We will certainly make a point to return if we’re ever in the area again. Overall, we give the food a solid 5 out of 5!

Absolutely delicious! It's been a while since we've had a good BBQ spot in Desoto. I've visited several times and have never been disappointed. We can't wait for our next visit!
