Le Rayon Vert - Deshaies

Went here for Bastille Day, chambre confort. A bit pricey for what is offered, furniture in room needs renovating etc. Restaurant not available and practically nowhere open to eat in the city centre at night

What can I say about this place? It is the best, and most unique hotel I've stayed at. The rooms are all self contained chalets with modern decor, loads of room and the best shower I've ever used. All the rooms are set in tropical gardens and at night pretty much the only sounds you could hear were insects and the sea. Then there was the restaurant which served the best food I've ever eaten. On our last night there where I had a huge steak with potatoes in vegetables in some amazing French sauce. My wife had various fish dishes which she loved. Then there was Christelle the owner, and her staff who were all very friendly and helpful. We visited when France was locking down due to COVID-19 and Christelle was helping us speak to the airline and airport to establish what was happening with our flight out and to see what she could do to ensure we got on a flight. Completely above and beyond. We can't wait to go back!

Restaurant is beautiful and the pool, amazing, gorgeous views. But the food ... we were 3 people, we all ate fish 3 different dishes) we all ended up throwing up several times and with diarrhea. And they made the worst mojito I had in my life. I also think that for the price, the food taste was improvable. A great disappointment.

A hidden gem. Wonderful setting and bungalow suites with a great infinity pool to watch the sunset. Very warm staff and great evening meal at their restaurant. Highly recommend!

I only went to the restaurant. You immediately get greeted by an amazing few over the pool onto the bay down below. The staff was very friendly. I ordered the smoked chicken and the café gourmand and everything tasted great. Fully recommended.
