So been going to this place for quite a while have been pretty disappointed lately not only with the service but the quality of the food we were just in there the other day I got one of their omelets with home fries and an order of biscuits and gravy which I made sure to ask the waitress to make sure that the gravy was actually hot this time as usual the gravy was cold the potatoes aren't cooked and it was quite diff... What Macrina Arroyo doesn't like about The Cottage Too:
I tried calling to make an order, the lady that answered couldn’t be patient enough to wait while I asked my hunny what he wanted to eat, not even thirty seconds pass she clicked and had me talking to myself it’s crazy how you want to try and get food but yet she wasn’t patient enough to get your order. Great breakfast spot and the servers are very friendly!
In Desert Hot Springs this is our regular breakfast spot once a month. Restaurant staff are courteous welcoming from the moment you walk in, people are kind and mindful of everyone's personal space. Food is good for what you pay for, prices are hard to beat. A breakfast for two people may cost you about 25 dlls and you still will have a to go box with leftovers to take home. The place is cozy, warm vibes, it's been there for many many years 20yrs approximately) needs a little love if you ask me. But yet again it's what gives it that nice cozy vibe although after 30 mins the flat wood booths with worn out cushions start to hurt) lol Coffee is a light roast, creamers are usually half and half. My personal favorite the ham eggs with potatoes Scalloped potatoes a bit charted) Eggs Toast well buttered) A side bottle with fresh salsa Very mild ? My lady had the Canadian bacon , avocado cheese omelette with House fries, Bleu cheese on the side. Both had coffee, they refill you constantly. And greeting you when you first arrive with water ? silverware? You pay at the cash register, where you will find a variety of candies ,mints, Mexican candy overall brands famously found in Mexico) and a thing or two more ..? ? Vegetarian options: Not specified if vegetarian just the omelette) Dietary restrictions: Yes , servers are highly attentive on diet restrictions. Parking: A provided a picture, there's plenty, there will however be no parking available at times when they have a full house. In season. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly environment, and options for kids to have both breakfast and lunch brunch) Wheelchair accessibility: Yes , access through the main building, however restrooms are not wheelchair accessible, there are a few tables where they may be modified for a wheelchair.
Excellent service! The food was delicious! Recommended 100% Breakfast for two Sunday morning, no waiting time, very friendly atmosphere
Not your finest restaurant but a extremely homey and cute small town vibes restaurant that serves classic breakfast. We had huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, breakfast sando and a classic plate for group breakfast before stagecoach. Everything was good portions and filling. Service was good, our server kept our coffee and waters filled. Hits the spot for breakfast. Insta SpicyAivy
