The steak was masterfully flavored,... read more We ate here while visiting Desenzano for a work trip. I got the ribeye. I ordered it medium rare but it came out well-done. The steak was masterfully flavored, but it was really overcooked and I can't overlook that. The grilled vegetables that came with it and the potatoes were excellent. I wanted pasta, but every pasta dish had some kind of seafood and that is disappointing. I might go back, but we'll see.

There is outdoor seating... read more Located in a hotel, this charming restaurant has a good menu and efficient service. It gets pretty busy, so reserve a table if you can. There is outdoor seating in a courtyard, perfect to enjoy the nice weather. There are 2 two top tables on a balcony upstairs give you a view of the dining action in the courtyard while being much quieter. All of our food (and wine) choices were very tasty definitely ask the server for recommendations.

Two and a half hours later we wandered out almost shell shocked over the disorganization of the place. Some tables turned over twice and we couldn 't get the meal finished. We had the Menu Di Giorgio; so can 't expect much for 15 Euro and it wasn 't much. Hubs started with very tasty vegetable soup and I had pasta pomodoro (turned out to be corkscrew pasta with barely any pomodoro. Mains were fish Au gratin which was salmon steak (dry and over cooked) and decent roasted potatoes and very dry grilled mustard chicken with said potatoes. No gratin anywhere. A basket of rolls appeared but no bread plates EVER appeared upon which to put the evoo and balsamic to dunk the bread. We practically had to beg for our coffee and dessert. We were seriously about to guess at the bill and just leave on the table. Hubs needed change and that took 10 more minutes. Just not a good experience at all.
