Castellani - DESENZANO DEL GARDA

Such terrible food, the worst meal I have had for a long time. We sat down and I noticed that almost every single dish on the menu had an asterisk next to them for 'may contain frozen ingredients '. Also the picture menu was giving me bad vibes, no menus that look like that are ever amazing food. Thinking this was a bad sign we ordered drinks, I thought my friends were just going to order drinks but they started the food order, so we unfortunately we were committed. We ordered spaghetti aglio e olio. The spaghetti was just packet spaghetti and it was stuck together and clumpy. It was swimming in oil. There seemed to be sliced jalapeños instead of chili flakes. It was such a disappointment as we had had an amazing version a few days prior in Bellagio. It did have a garlickly flavour which was probably the only good thing. The next morning we all had dodgy stomachs as well. Then they took a million years to come and give us the bill and take payment. To be honest it hurt me to pay for a meal this bad and I really didn 't want to, but I think if we had raised any complaint not much would have happened anyway. Avoid this place, it 's a tourist trap. We were so hungry from a long day we went to the first place we could sit, but I wish we had just looked around a bit more and gone somewhere else.

After arriving late after a long journey we only wanted a quick dinner so stopped at the first place advertising pizza. Ordered one calzone €8.50 and one cipolle pizza €7 and a half carafe of house white €8. We got the bill saying €40 and queried it after great debate no apology we got another for €38 still not right eventually getting one for €26.50 with attitude. This included a €3 service charge which is fine but we would have left more actually as the pizza were really good ! Shame !

The staff were so nice and the choice of pizzas were really good. Nice and thin bases but had lovely flavour. Homemade in a pizza oven. Worth a visit. Doesn't look anything up the lane but it is good and worth a visit.

Nice place, lake view. nice and very kind maid. pizza good sin we also asked for a portion of fries. more than half we have advanced them, they were dry, choked in exhausted oil. we told the waitress, he said sorry but in the account the charge of €. there was. I think they were better off not to charge them.....I recommend: don't take them!

Excellent food and nice waiters. Good area in from of the harbour. Some more simple to sit indoors when it is raining. We were having lunch here twice. Think the food should have a high rate.
