I have been going to LeFlour Cafe for years for drinks and pastries, but this was my first time ordering a cake. My son's 3rd birthday was on Mother's Day this year, so I had an idea for a 1/2 and 1/2 cake. The end result they came up with Absolutely blew us away! Half Spider-Man and half flowers...and tasted AMAZING. It was the highlight of our rainy at home special day. Thank you LeFlour cafe!! View all feedback.
I had read a review that there 's no restroom here and was incredulous. How could it be? But it is true... so be forewarned, those with a small bladder (me! , urge to go after drinking fluids (uh, everyone? , or IBSers. Cool to stop in at this niche-y place by the Edison Park Metra. I 'm sure they have a lot of commuter traffic. I dig the chalkboard menu and number of trendy drinks available, like Nutella mochas, apple cider, or the amaretto white chocolate mocha I had on this occasion. My drink was on the slightly sweet side, but nothing that prevented me from polishing it off. A handful of small tables or so are available for lounging, and there 's a few seats looking out the window towards the train tracks for those with a dash of time. For the regulars: there 's a frequent buyer punch card, something like buy 10 drinks, get the next 1 free.
Sometimes I forget that Edison Park is within the Chicago city limit. With that being said, the neighborhood vibe is really suburban. The Cafe at LeFlour is across the street from the Edison Park Metra Station, on the corner of Oliphant and Olmsted. It was a nice day out, and I wanted to walk a bit to catch some Pokémon and hatch my 10km egg after my nail appointment. This coffeeshop felt like walking into your favorite auntie 's house. However, I bet your aunt wouldn 't be able to make many speciality drinks like what Cafe at LeFlour provided. I once read the DNA Info newspaper and saw one of the articles featuring this place and their nitro coffee. I spotted this on the menu, yet I was a bit afraid of the phrase 2-3X more caffeine than a regular coffee. Therefore, I said I had to pass and get a seasonal peppermint mocha instead. They also offers homemade pastries: poptarts, cookies, scones, croissants, and etc. I don 't crave for coffee much anymore, but I still have a sweet tooth. I believe The Cafe at LeFlour is the only indie coffeeshop in Edison Park and brews Tugboat Coffee, an artisan coffee company from Addison, IL.
Excellent coffee and espresso drinks. While there are some pastries; the selection is limited.

I'm not familiar with this area but stopped in for some caffeine. It's adorable in there and felt very welcoming. The person who helped me at the counter was very helpful and let me try a sample of their Nitro coffee from a tap. I ordered it and sat for a little bit. Many customers came in while I was there and some were greeted by name. All were treated with care. Loved this vibe and would make the trip back up to hang out here.
