They also came with side salads with pinole nuts and a delicious cheese. I couldn’t stop eating it.It’s so cool that you can go for lunch and get entry to the gardens free! Even cooler that the food is so incredible.

They... read more The atmosphere remains fantastic, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. However, the quality of the food has significantly declined. They used to serve the best steak salad in all of Des Moines, but unfortunately, there’s nothing close to it on the menu anymore. Just a year ago, you could not make a bad choice from the menu, which is why we became members. Now, we’ll come just for the flowers.

The bill came to $128, including the tip, for five standard lunches, no drinks, and two desserts to share. The food was just average, with small portions. I ord... read more The bill came to $128, including the tip, for five standard lunches, no drinks, and two desserts to share. The food was just average, with small portions. I ordered a veggie wrap, but it came without the spread that was noted on the menu, and it was simply bland veggies wrapped in half of a small tortilla—it was pretty disappointing. To make matters worse, they had run out of the lunch special by the time we ordered, despite having an hour left for lunch. The waitress also forgot to bring our desserts, and I had to ask for them. The coffee “pudding” was quite terrible, contrary to what the waitress had described as "so good." My mom had a steak sandwich that was mostly bread, and the soup turned out to be a cold Spanish variety. Overall, this experience was a letdown. The prices are too high for the quality of the food and service provided. The patio is beautiful, but I had heard so many good things about this place, and it was disappointing. I won’t be returning.

If they could offer a local coffee option, I'd definitely be here every weekend!
