Tonic - Des Moines

We stayed at a hotel nearby, and this bar is within walking distance. It’s by far the best bar we’ve visited on our many trips from Omaha. This place is very dog-friendly, so we can bring our pups inside, and they are always welcome. The staff has always been amazing, and many patrons enjoy seeing the dogs and are respectful when they ask to pet them. The Bloody Marys and wide selection of malt beverages give my wife and me plenty of exciting options to try every time we visit. Although they don’t serve food, they have no problem with guests bringing in or getting food delivered.

Okedit as answer to the owner:(There does not seem a Google way to answer a answer, afaict)Nothing personally, but it seemed a little bit understaffed there was a dame and she was hectic. she said she would make me a $5 gin drink and the martini came back eight dollars, and when I talked to a few people in the bar next to me, she carefully placed my three olive stick id on my smartphone to save for the last time. the couple next to me saw it happen and thought it was very excessive. nothing personal I'm sure she cleaned the bar hectic and didn't think about what she did. she apologised, and then brought me a fifth olive cup. it seemed like a nice fashionable place I was for business in the city, and I started drinking tonic water occasionally for the quinine as reaction to the hoax a few months ago, so the name pulled me out of curiosity. I will raise the three to four to appreciate their care that I'm the owner's answer.

The service is quick, the bar restrooms are clean, and the staff is fantastic! During the drag brunch, the bar transforms into a vibrant runway show—it's absolutely stunning! Plus, there's a perfect terrace to enjoy on beautiful days!

I had a great experience at the bar. The bartender was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. They even have games available, which adds to the fun. It's definitely worth stopping by for a drink or two!

Best place downtown to grab a drink, watch some sports, smoke a cigar or meet new people. The bartenders are pretty amazing too! ?
