The Dam Pub - Des Moines

The service here is usually pretty good but they can occasionally be surly. Then again who isnt at times? I enjoy their food. They have a better than average bar style food menu. I don’t think you’ll regret going in if it’s a nice day.If the sun is out and it’s warm you should definitely head up to their upstairs patio. It fills up fast but probably one of the best spots. They also have their own bar up there! Really enjoyed the upstairs bar and it’s my favorite part about the dam pub.

We got there around 2pm, decent crowd, great atmosphere! Ordered fried pickles, but they came out rubbery, under fried. Waitress was kind and aware enough to recognize and removed from our tab. Pizza was good, not great. My buffalo chicken pizza didn’t have much buffalo. We wanted it to be better, the place has so much more potential. Maybe we just got the B team of cooks in the middle of a Saturday afternoon.

Very clean. Very friendly. Very kind. Very comfy. I immediately felt welcomed and at home. It was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend them. If not for their food, then their awesome selection of brews/mixed drinks. The decor is so fun and cute. I didn't make it to the arcade but it looked delightful! Can't wait to go back!Parking: If you park across the street, there is parking, but it's a very busy/populated area. I drive a truck. Made it kind of tricky!

Great little Dive Bar! Nothing wrong with a dive bar just know that when you go. Dont go in and ask for a moscow mule or fancy named seltzer's! Its a beer and whiskey bar with a limited menu burger/fries chicken wings. Nothing pretentious about this bar!

The food was great! I had the Best Dam Chick Sandwich which was flavorful and tasty. The serverice was great! The only complaint that I have was the music was a bit too loud. We had a party of 7 and it was hard to have conversations around the table.
