Snookies Malt Shop - Des Moines

My daughter and I had a great time there. Make sure to bring cash and be prepared to wait in line, although it moves pretty quickly. The nostalgic malt shop atmosphere is charming, and it's definitely worth the wait!

Forever my favorite ice cream shop in DSM! Finally made it to an opening day last night. The classic twist cone is my go-to! Brought several of my family members who had never been. Everyone loved their ice cream goodies had a wonderful experience!

I just have to say what a fantastic little malt shop this is! We ended up here after a service at a nearby church and realized we had no cash on us, as they don’t accept any other forms of payment. When the lovely woman behind the counter heard this, she insisted we enjoy something on the house! We were truly touched by her generosity and loved the delicious treats, including hot fudge sundae malts and a lime slushie. Places like this really boost your faith in humanity; it's a hidden gem. The next time we're in Des Moines, we’ll definitely be back (with plenty of cash this time), and I highly recommend you stop by as well!

We live just a short walk away from Snookies, and it’s definitely the best ice cream spot I've ever visited! I can't wait for them to open!
