Description

Tucked into Merle Hay Mall’s food court, this compact Middle Eastern spot delivers authentic, flavorful fare—standout falafel, shawarma, doner kebab and generous samplers—mostly made from scratch. Service and portion sizes are inconsistent: staff can be friendly and fast but also inattentive or unprofessional, and prices sometimes feel high for smaller servings. Expect a casual food-court atmosphere, short waits for fresh-made items, and occasional cash-only requests.

Pita is not fresh. Have to improve the quality for the price charged.

The cook/server today made me feel very uneasy and the food was just ok. I would not trust this place again. I rang the bell for service at noon on a weekend. After waiting 5 minutes, someone from the business across the hall ran out to me and said the server would be there in a minute. Why did the employee from the kids play area know where the Lazize worker was? Anyway I waited another 5 minutes, and a very disheveled, frantic-looking man runs behind the counter to take my order. I figured he was just having a busy day, so I wasn 't upset yet. I tried to give him my order, but he had me repeat each sentence back to him. He seemed a little out of it. He goes back to make the food and chat with a couple buddies who walk around the back to meet him. After a bit the server comes back out to take my payment. He demands straight cash because he said something along the lines of credit card will charge you more . Something about the way he talked to me, demanded cash, and put it in his pocket rather than in a register made me feel very uneasy. 15 minutes later I got my shish tawook sandwich for $7.99, which is just ok. Not worth the ordeal ever again.

The food was amazing! Absolutely delicious! We had the sampler as we wanted to try everything. There was not one thing that my wife or I considered the best it was all great. It takes a little while to prepare, i thnk it was about 15 minutes, but ot was all made from scratch minus the lamb as it is a rotisserie. Well worth the wait. Definitely will return.

This was possibly the best, most authentic middle eastern food I have ever eaten. Every dish was excellent from the meats to the falafel. Will be returning soon--Well done!

When our food finally arrived, it was absolutely worth the wait. Both dishes were fantastic—everything was fresh, hot, and incredibly tasty. My wife even mentioned that she could eat the chicken kebab every day! Our family loves Mediterranean cuisine, and this place serves some of the best we've found in the area. While it's tough to compete with Vietnam Café just across the food court, which offers delicious fresh food almost instantly, if you're looking for a change from Pho and Bahn Mi, I highly recommend checking out Lazize. You won't regret it!
